The Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment has recently embarked on a project to renew the workspaces of employees at its Shaw Park headquarters and district offices.

The initiative is geared towards improving the standards of operational safety and health (OSH) of its employees and boosting morale and productivity levels.

The renewal project will also optimise space and institute new technologies and systems for greater functionality and team synergy upon completion, a release from the division said.

Among other elements, the project proposes architectural improvements to the Accounting and Registry Units; the upgrade of existing

vault facilities; instituting a system to treat with the proper storage of financial records and rehabilitation of the Scarborough District’s Welding Workshop. The division will also commission a modern elevator system in the main office, replacing a system installed some 30 years ago which became dysfunctional
